The Streets of Bonn

My first encounter with Germany was the arrival in Dortmund, which energy I did like. It was fast, busy and quite international, probably due to the proximity of the airport. Bonn was slightly different: traditional, tucked away and a bit warmer, and has much to offer when the culture and history are concerned. Actually, I was fascinated by the many facts about Bonn I was not previously aware of. From 1949 to 1990 Bonn was the seat of government and de facto capital of West Germany. In recognition of its former status as German capital, it holds the name of Federal City (Bundesstadt). Bonn is the City in which Beethoven was born and raised. In the center of the city, there is Beethoven-Haus. Now it is a museum dedicated to Beethoven's life and work.
For many reasons, after 10 days, Bonn has become very dear to my heart.
In this post, I am going to uwalk you through the Bonn City Center, Beethoven-Haus, Rhine River and trough the streets and parks of Bonn. I hope that you will enjoy, and I am looking forward to hearing your impressions! :)
